Remove the test from its sealed pouch and discard silica pack. Hold by the handle and place the absorbent tip directly into the urine stream for 3–5 seconds (or dip it into a collected sample). Lay the device flat with the window facing up. Wait up to 5 minutes for the colored lines to develop. Read the result within 3–5 minutes; do not interpret after 10 minutes to avoid evaporation lines.
